…and right as I start to type this, Ray Snow, a good friend of mine here at Cingular, walks up to me and says “hello”. He just got back from the Bahamas, from our annual rewards trip called Cingular Summit. He’s made it 4 out of 5 years we’ve run that thing…pretty impressive.
I love coffee, I’d just like to go on record as saying that.
so yeah, it was just another Thursday night. CB came over and we started to edit some of his MDs that he has been holding onto for a while. I watched some basketball…oh, I watched the premiere of “The Office” on NBC…pretty good show. Steve Carell is pretty damn funny, although the show moved slow at times. Maybe that’s because of the lack of a laugh track. It’s sort of like “Scrubs” in that way, but it’s pretty funny. I’ll give it a few more episodes before I pass major judgement.
this is the rare week for me…working 6 days straight without an off-day. Normally when you’re scheduled to work Saturday’s, you get a comp day during the week you can take. But this is Spring Break week, so the week was already full…so I had to take my comp day on Monday the 28th…so I’m working the whole week this week.
only 2 weeks until Cruise #2.

1The Office did have it’s funny moments, but the whole show is dulled by the fact that the original British version is 100-times funnier.
Doesn’t help that a lot of the dialogue for the American version was cribbed word-for-word from the original, too. Even some of the actor mannerisms is exactly like that of their British counterparts.
If you haven’t seen the Brit-version, then the NBC one’ll be alright, I guess. But I would suggest getting the other on DVD. You won’t be disappointed.
I guarantee it.

2I watched The Office last week … I think I caught the second episode. Bob & Tom had played some clips from the first episode and those were pretty funny, so I thought I’d give it a shot … Sorry to say, I did not laugh. Not even once. I like the fact that Rainn Wilson is on the show, but that was about it.
