I’m a member of the gaming website The Older Gamers, and right now, the only game I’m currently playing is the beta test for The Lord of the Rings Online.  Well we have a division of TOG set up for this game, and I’ve been pretty active in it.  This weekend, the Division Captain of our group picked me to the Kinship Leader within the game itself.  A pretty nice honor to be sure, and I’m excited about it.

The closed beta test ends tonight and then the open beta starts on Friday, and goes for about a month or so.  Then they will be releasing the game to the public on Tuesday, April 24th.

A very cool birthday plan has emerged for me and a bunch of my friends.  John Mayer is coming back to town on August 4th (2 days after my 34th birthday this year) and as a way of celebrating, about 12 of us are going to have a cookout at my place that afternoon by the pool and then go to the show that night.  It should be one helluva time.

The countdown is still on to the Trip of a Lifetime.

American Idol is back tomorrow night with Gwen Stefani as the guest helper person.  I believe the Top 10 are singing pop songs.  Yippee.

I still suck at Spades.

That is all.

What the heck happened to the Cheap Seats gig? I was subscribing to the podcast, and next thing I know, the show is gone. Sorry to see that.

Well Gil, time wasn’t really on our side with the Cheap Seats show. I appreciate you subscribing and I’m glad you enjoyed it while it lasted. We just couldn’t commit the sort of time we would need to pull it off on a consistent, weekly basis.

I do recommend the fellas over at 360thePitch to listen to though…Brandon Rosage and his crew do a bang-up job with their shows.
