Something that’s long overdue

Friends are hard to come by. True friends are really hard to come by.
So I preface this post with those somewhat ominous words. But they are heartfelt and sincere. Christy and I are really blessed to have a good many close friends here in Birmingham. As most of you know, Rusty and Gina are very good friends of ours (and travel partners) and we were blessed to come across two more such wonderful people and friends this past fall when we embarked on our Mediterranean cruise.

As you all know, I’m a huge MMORPG gamer…MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. These are mostly games like Everquest, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, etc. Anyway, one of the newer games in development by Cryptic Studios is called Champions Online.

Well, well, well…where to begin? I could spend a couple of paragraphs talking about the train wreck that was Fantasia. My God, I think the judges were even aghast. Was it me or was she basically running around the stage and studio yelling “Go! Go! Go!” over and over while her back-up singers/dancers were doing the actual song?
